The St. Stephen's PreKindergarten program provides a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to see themselves as competent, independent learners. We offer a developmentally appropriate program for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds, focusing on the growth of the whole child—academically, spiritually, morally, and physically.

Recognizing that each child is a unique individual with their own learning style, the curriculum for our PreK2s, PreK3s, and PreK4s is experiential and delivered through both whole group instruction and thoughtfully designed centers. We offer opportunities for developing readiness skills in language arts and mathematics, as well as in science and social studies, fostering a love for learning through individual and small group experiences.

Three key strands of the St. Stephen’s curriculum begin in PreK3 and extend through Elementary and beyond: ZooPhonics, Handwriting Without Tears (focused on fine motor skill development in PreK), and our new curriculum, Mother Goose Time. Students engage in teacher-led, hands-on activities that nurture relationships, encourage structured play, and invite exploration through sensory-rich activities, art, games, and dramatic play. These experiences foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ample time for indoor and outdoor play with age-appropriate equipment and peer interaction helps children develop kindness and a loving attitude toward others. A strong commitment to outdoor learning opportunities, alongside arts and crafts projects, enhances fine motor skills and provides a sense of accomplishment.

The weekly activities are further enriched by special classes in art, music, spiritual formation, foreign language, and physical education (focused on gross motor development).

SSES tuition payments are due on the 1st of the month. Payments must be made online through the Smart Tuition website using ACH withdrawal or debit/credit card.

Annual Registration and Supply Fee: In addition to our $250 Registration Fee, we also require a yearly supply fee of $100 per child as well as a one time family campus fee of $500. The registration fee is due at the time of enrollment. The supply fee will be spread over the first two months.
